ABOUT GOD'S LOVE WE DELIVER
God’s Love We Deliver improves the health and well-being of men, women and children living with HIV/AIDS, cancer and other serious illnesses by alleviating hunger and malnutrition. They prepare and deliver nutritious, high-quality meals to people who, because of their illness, are unable to provide or prepare meals for themselves. All their services are free to their clients.
Founded during the AIDS pandemic in 1985, GLWD has been an essential services provider during the COVID-19 pandemic. Last year, the organization cooked and delivered more than 2.6 million meals to nearly 10,000 New Yorkers living with and affected by severe illness, and its staff and volunteers continue to work tirelessly to meet the ever-growing demand for its services.
The five annual Love Rocks NYC concerts have raised $20 million dollars and helped to fund 2 million meals to New Yorkers in need. The benefit concert highlights the charity’s continued mission of providing life-sustaining meals and nutrition counseling for people in the New York Metropolitan area living with severe illness.
The power of music to deliver important messaging on social issues and to raise awareness of important charitable work is a beautiful and very Socially Sparked thing. We commend the organizers of Love Rocks NYC and the many musicians, actors and audiences who contribute to making the Love Rocks NYC charity concert a fundraising success year after year. Can’t wait for 2022’s event where everyone comes together for one common goal: to help feed New Yorkers who are too sick to cook or shop for themselves, and do it through the healing power of live music! – We are Socially Sparked.
