RIP Grant Tinker, television icon, producer and former NBC Chairman, who passed away Monday in his Los Angeles home at the spritely age of 90.
the-mary-tyler-moore-show-logo2Tinker is perhaps best known for co-founding MTM Enterprises in 1970 with former wife Mary Tyler Moore, which produced a slew of now classic TV series’ hits as “The Mary Tyler Moore Show”, “Rhoda” and “The Bob Newhart Show.”

Under his charge as Chairman of NBC in the early ‘80s came the beloved TV hits “The Cosby Show” and “Cheers.”  Some can say that this set the stage for the beginning of NBC’s
“Must See TV” campaign.

We thank Grant Tinker for his groundbreaking contributions and for providing us with some of the most memorable entertainment that socially sparked our lives. – Abbe is Socially Sparked! @sosparkednews
