FIRESIDE CHATS, SPEAKERS & PANELS, OH MY!

music's political and social impact

Socially Sparked® speakers and conversations are aplenty at this year’s Mondo Summit.  A Conversation with civil rights activist and commentator Rev. Al Sharpton will explore the intersection of politics and music. (moderated by Tech This Out podcast personality Osei “The Dark Secret.”)

Visionary entrepreneur, venue owner, concert promoter, vintner and philanthropist Michael Dorf will discuss his incredible career and new book, Indulge Your Senses: Scaling Intimacy in a Digital World, in an intimate fireside chat. (moderated by the talented Joan Osborne)

Attendees will also be treated to a conversation with 2013 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Inductee and 2018 Grammy Hall of Fame Inductee (founder of Public Enemy & The Bomb Squad) Hank Shocklee on the future of music and how certain platforms and technologies are emerging as critically important ecosystems for music creators, labels and fans alike. Shocklee will be joined by special guests of panelists.

ROLLING STONE PARTNERS WITH MONDO NYC

Rolling Stone editors will be curating multiple panels as part of its “Business of Music” series with a deep dive into critical issues including streaming trends, musician’s struggle to own their own work and how Rolling Stone Charts function (newly launched).

“Virtually every metric in entertainment is reported on a fixed weekly basis, which is out of date with actual consumer trends. With the launch of Rolling Stone Charts this year, we counter this trend and now offer an impartial, in-depth and in-the-moment view of the biggest songs, albums and artists in music,” — Rolling Stone President Gus Wenner
