SOCIALLY SPARKED™ SHOPPING DAYS

BLACK FRIDAY kicks it all off with deals at every retail store large and small and online retailers getting into the act, too. The word is that the best merchandise to purchase on Black Friday are goods with a plug — meaning – electric products and appliances. As a rule of thumb, the better deals for cosmetics, laungerie ere, cosmetics and jewelry are closer to the Christmas holiday. (just the messenger here, so make sure to test this theory out)

SMALL BUSINESS SATURDAY provides consumers with an opportunity to shop local and support their communities while capitalizing on fabulous seasonal deals. Since its launch in 2010 by American Express, it has become a nationwide movement to support local retailers, restaurants and everything locally owned in between.

CYBER MONDAY. Today’s consumer has a love affair with internet shopping and Cyber Monday may very well be their piece de la resistance. Known as the day when companies offer a vast array of discounts online, in recent years – it has become a consumer favorite as more shoppers enjoy staying in the comfort of their own home to shop by clicking.

One of the best gifts is that of charitable giving. Whether volunteering your time to those less fortunate or to a cause; donating foods and goods to a person, community or country in need, or, gifting holiday funds to a favorite charity — it’s a feel good, win-win Socially Sparked scenario for all parties.

GIVING TUESDAY. Now in its sixth year, this awareness initiative is celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving (in the U.S.) and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday, Small Business Saturday and Cyber Monday, #GivingTuesday kicks off the charitable season, when many focus on their holiday and end-of-year giving. Since its inaugural year in 2012, #GivingTuesday has become a global movement that celebrates and supports giving and philanthropy with events throughout the year and a growing catalog of resources.

Personally, I can’t think of a better way to be Socially Sparked than to spread the love through gifting. — Abbe is Socially Sparked! Tweet @sosparkednews & @asparks01 #SociallySparked
