Staten Island Chuck is the Socially Sparked Groundhog Day Winner

Happy Groundhog Day 2022. Traditions are a very important part of our culture and the Groundhog day celebration is no exception. We put our faith in and hope that Spring will come early based on whether the Groundhog sees his shadow or not.

Every February 2nd the Groundhog takes a breather from his winter nap and pops out to see if he sees his shadow.  If he does then he retreats and we all believe there will be six more weeks of winter. Yet, if his shadow is not seen Spring is in our sights.

Two of the most infamous Groundhogs are Punxsutawney Phil and Staten Island Chuck. It is a known fact that Punxsutawney Phil get his seasonal prediction wrong more often than he gets it right.

This February 2nd morning had Punxsutawney Phil declaring six more weeks of Winter as he saw his shadow. On the other hand, Staten Island Chuck says that Spring is in the air as he did not see his shadow.  We vote for an early Spring and declare Staten Island Chuck the Socially Sparked Groundhog Day Winner of 2022.
