Blues Revue in NY State of Mind
Jimmy V’s NYC Blue Revue Pix.
Some of the most powerful Blues musicians in New York City and throughout the East Coast put the Blues in a New York State of Mind last week at a fundraiser concert for The Blues Foundation. Held at B.B. Kings Blues Club, Jimmy V’s NYC Blues Revue is the brainchild of Jimmy Vivino, music director and band leader of The Conan O’Brien Show, Greg Williamson, Executive Producer. Proceeds from the all-star concert benefited The Memphis-based Blues Foundation.
Vivino and Williamson spearheaded an all-star line-up of bluesmen and blueswomen who played cover songs by legendary blues artists such as Muddy Waters, BB King, Robert Johnson, Howlin’ Wolf, Albert King, Eric Clapton and many others.
The who’s who line-up included William Bell, legendary award-winning blues guitarist/vocalist Bob Margolin, award-winner Shemekia Copeland, Vocalist Catherine Russell, John Sebastian, Marcus King, Scott Sharrard, Sam Moore and many more.
Surprise of the night — Gary Clark Jr. who shared the stage with William Bell. Clark was in town for his two Madison Square Garden shows opening for another legend — Eric Clapton.

Jimmy V’s NYC Blues Revue Pix completely Socially Sparked® our lives. Keeping the Blues music alive in general and most definitely in New York City. Forever #SociallySparked! — tweet @sosparkednews
